Muerto Mouse print by Lalo Alcaraz
Muerto Mouse is the bookend cartoon to Migra Mouse. In 2013 Walt Disney Company lawyers made a boneheaded move and attempted to trademark the term "Dia de Los Muertos" for merchandise for their upcoming Pixar DOD themed movie "Coco". Needless to say everyone was horrified, and I drew this cartoon in response to their action, and they quickly withdrew their applications. Pixar would eventually ask me to be a cultural consultant on the animated film, to hopefully ensure they don't make any more mistakes like the trademark disaster. In case you missed it, I have been advocating for Raza representation in the media since I began making art. And I have also been working in Hollywood for over 25 years, I just haven't been successful. (Talk to me in 2017 to see if we did a good job.) 13"x19" gallery quality print with archival ink that will last 200 years, so they say. Autographed too!
